Creating Summer Vibes
Creating Summer Vibes
2020 will forever be etched into our minds. Hell, The Great Depression was almost a century ago, and we are all very privy to that time period too.
Financial & health hardships have hit the entire globe…and we have a choice to make.
- Do we keep our vibrations low and keep feeding the chaos & trauma of this pandemic? OR
- Do we raise our own vibrations to share light, love, & joy to help us weather this storm?
Choice 2 doesn’t mean that we bury our heads in the sand & turn a blind eye to the matters at hand.
What it means is that we are taking responsibility for our own health & happiness.
It means that we care about others too because let’s face it, emotions are contagious.
What emotions do you like to experience?
We must ask ourselves how we want to be treated and what brings us joy.
The answers to those questions will help us decide what we want to manifest more of in our lives. Be it more fear & angst OR abundance & positivity. The choice is yours to make.
In this week’s blog article, I am going to share several ways that you can create Summer vibes in your life…no matter if you’re in the darkest of winters or rainiest days of Fall or Spring.
Most people (not all) relate Summer to happy, carefree moments. Who doesn’t want more of those feelings & moments in their life?
Emotional Vibration Scale
Yes, this is actually a thing. I’m fairly new on this scene…as I have only really begun attending to my personal vibration & energy levels for the last 3 years.
When you look at this scale, check out where fear lies.
Fear’s vibrational score of 100 is where the media resides. They don’t just touch on this level of vibration during their programs or in their articles, they wear it loudly & proudly for MOST of their programs or articles to scare us into conformity.
THEN, they usually end with a heart-warming story or cute animal stories to make us more inclined to tune into the next article or program. Furthermore, we almost forget that they traumatized us for nearly an entire program or article.
So, what can we do?
#1 You Are What You Consume
I’ve been guilty of consuming things that lower my vibration level…LOADS. Before I had ever heard of vibration, energy, or emotional intelligence, I could tell that watching the news was ruining my emotional well-being.
Shallow-breathing, full-on, panic attacks were following my watching just ONE television news program.
On September 11th, 2001…yep THAT DAY, I finally pulled the trigger to ban the news from playing on my TV or in my home ever again.
So, if you’re getting swept up in the media’s fear-filled propaganda, simply change to something that doesn’t lower you to nearly zero vibration. As you can see, fear resides in the “suffering” portion of the Emotional Vibrational Scale.
I am willing to wager that you don’t prefer to suffer.
Let’s move onto other ways that we can inject some happy “Summer” vibes into your life.
No, I am not talking about when your mom sent you to your room indefinitely for breaking curfew or rules. LOL
Grounding can be achieved in several different ways. My favorite way to ground is to go outside, take my shoes & socks off, and stand in the dirt, sand, grass, or on stone with my bare feet.
This helps you to electrically reconnect to the earth. Being outside in nature does amazing things for our physical & mental health. So, get outside as often as you can while also using smart sun exposure.
If it is raining, cold, or damp outside, then you can do other grounding techniques like:
- taking a bath with some Epsom salt & essential oils
- use a grounding mat or bed sheet
- try the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 method
- find something funny (subscribe to this family, they are so FUN) to watch or talk to someone that has a great sense of humor
- practice gratitude
- use the 4-7-8 breathing technique
#3 Diffuse “Happy” Essential Oils
What completely surprised me is that diffusing or inhaling certain essential oils can offer a mood change rather effectively.
Why is that?
Our olfactory receptors are directly linked to the amygdala. The amygdala is responsible for recognizing emotions like fear and anger as a response to your current environment.
Additionally, the amygdala commits scents to memory. So, when we smell a certain scent like mom’s cooking or maybe our favorite flower…those memories attached to that smell come rushing back in our minds.
Of course, we have scents that trigger unhappy memories as well. That means that we should have our favorite essential oils on hand to help enhance our moods at all times. We never know when we will require that pick-me-up or boost.
Essential oils that are incredible sources of bringing on the happy feels are:
- Blue Spruce
- Citrus oils like lemon, lime, grapefruit, bergamot, wild orange, & tangerine
- Clary Sage
#4 Be Mindful Of Your Thoughts, Words, & Actions
This is where I have had to be strict with my own journey. Learning that I have a choice in how I behave/react has been essential in my mental wellness journey.
When presented with scary, traumatic, or despairing circumstances in our lives, we have a choice in how to deal with the situation at hand. We can handle it with poise and compassion, or we can act out and riot and rebel towards anyone or anything that gets in our direct path.
It’s easier to get pissed off, believe me, I am speaking from personal experience. My temper used to be epic.
But I was miserable, toxic, and physically/mentally sick from that way of life.
What we say, think, and do have a direct response in not just our well-being but other people can see it & be affected too.
How to be mindful & support your well-being:
- Speak kindly about yourself and others
- Be forgiving even of people that hurt you deeply. Blame and anger are low vibrations
- Stray from negative gossip, no matter how tempting it is. Instead, speak positively about people when confronted with gossip…and it not only helps your health, you may also help someone else’s negative frame of mind.
- Eat high-vibe foods like organic fruits, veggies, herbs, sprouts, nuts & seeds (meat & dairy have about 3-5 MHz frequency)
- Do things that bring you joy! If you’re paying bills, for example, set up a fun or rewarding activity for yourself after completing the not-so-fun, adult/responsible, tasks.
- If hope or joy is in short supply, maybe volunteering to help folks that are in need can help you gain perspective. We may not be able to do the “normal” volunteer jobs, but there are online support groups and other ways to be of service still.
- When negative feelings arise, rather than trying to confront those feelings or deal with those issues immediately, grant yourself a “cooling-off” period so that you can compose yourself. Usually, we can take a few minutes or up to a couple of days to get our minds & hearts right, depending on the scenario at hand. This has helped me tremendously. Everything doesn’t have to be solved or figured out right this second.
- Visualize 5-10 things that bring you merriment and positivity. This will help to raise your vibration levels a great deal.
#5 Treat Yourself!
My Mama used to tell me, quite often too, that being an adult is HARD! It frequently consists of doing unpleasant tasks like paying bills, filing/paying taxes, and chores at home and/or work.
Mama used to tell me to not want to grow up so quickly, but you know kids. We want the freedom of not having people tell us what to do. Now, I long for Mom’s guidance and advice.
We will not spontaneously revert back to being a child at home with unconditional parental love & guidance. SO, we have to create mental breaks and incentivize ourselves to keep persevering and being the best that we can be.
Therefore, setting up some you-time will help raise those vibrations too! What I love to do is set a date with myself to do some pampering, turn off my electronics so that I am not beholden to anyone or anything, and spend time with just me.
Also, something that is VERY powerful is my micro-breaks several times a day. I set my laptop down, stop cleaning, or set aside whatever adult task I am working on.
Then, I stretch out my entire body. Next, I do some deep breathing. Finally, I either grab a bit of fresh air & sunshine, or I do a grounding exercise. These micro-breaks are about 5-10 minutes in duration.
Doing these 3 things (stretch, breathe, ground) helps me to refocus on my work and reduces my stress levels ginormously.
However, treat yourself in a way that suits you. Get a massage, go for a walk, do some non-toxic pampering, cuddle with your furbaby or children.
Just be mindful that if you’re using toxic means to treat yourself with, that isn’t really helping you in the long run. So, try to keep your treats healthy.
For example, smoking to relieve stress, drinking alcohol to de-stress, and other “treats” like these won’t give you the long-lasting results or benefits you’re looking for.
Nor will eating chocolate cake as a treat bring you great rewards later.🤣🤣🤣 I’m slightly kidding here.
Unless it’s this chocolate cake & not a DAILY occurrence. LOL
The point is to not jeopardize your health while treating yourself.
Dang, this blog entry is long! LOL
Having an online business means that I am getting a very good feel for where everyone is at concerning CoVid & health, the financial crisis, and political matters.
Vibration levels are low all over the world. This article isn’t to make you feel worse…it’s to offer ideas to help you raise your vibration and to help us all heal from a very traumatic experience.
Since we aren’t congregating with people physically, the only places that we can shine our peaceful & enlightened (600-1000 on the Emotional Vibrational Scale) lights is on social media, while out getting necessities or phone/video communications.
Seeing that the mainstream media is failing us, lying to us, and trying to program us through fear-mongering…it’s up to us to change the narrative!
It’s up to us to help each other through this very difficult time. We do that by taking care of our own vibration levels and then by sharing our love, compassion, and light online, at the grocery store, and with our loved ones.
I have faith in you and humanity! We can DO THIS!
